For Beethoven, music was a life force, not mere entertainment. His ‘Ode to Joy’ celebrates joy, specifically, especially, as the harbinger of peace and universal fellowship. Echoing him, then, during the coming year leading to his 250th birthday, we're determined to build a countervailing counterpoint to the Trump administration's criminal withdrawal action, through music. To share ‘Ode to Earth’ through all possible means, flooding the world with beauty, calling on the US people to remain in the Accords, climaxing in global celebrations of one of humanity’s most profoundly inspiring prophets.
Thus, exactly while Trump is pulling the very planet down about his own head, in increasingly ugly isolation, Beethoven will be inspiring the whole world to come together, in an irresistible, beautiful, chorus.

WINDY DAY - breathing hope, extinguishing fear - seeks to build a genuine community of nations, based on intelligence, beauty and care for the Earth. Slash and burn consumerism is ravaging whole peoples and the very planet itself. To sustain this ultimately unsustainable way of life, our self-styled ‘developed world’ lives in a state of constant war, denying the resulting impoverishment, xenophobia and global warming, rejecting the increasing numbers of refugees thus created.
The exquisite creativity of the human hand - that most wonderful of tools – flows from our individual fingers working in complete harmony. Exactly so, INTERDependence among people, peoples and nations completes and balances INdependence, thus healing our one shared environment, enabling beauty through justice, and promoting the care of all living beings.
Join us to:

Declare INTERDependence and World INTERDependence Day by formally adopting and promoting ‘A Peoples’ Declaration of INTERDependence' below.

Require that at least 3% of all money, materials and creative lives swallowed up in weapons and war be re-dedicated to re-greening the Earth and providing pure water for all.

Require that individuals and countries that have become obscenely wealthy through the exploitation of whole peoples and the earth’s common resources assist those suffering from the resultant impoverishment and planetary warming to adapt and flourish.

Occupy Trump's golf courses and suchlike, cutting off water, building a movement : 'Water for all, not golf courses for the rich!'
MAKE WINDY DAY CLEAR, VOCAL, VISIBLE:
1. CLEAR:
A Peoples Declaration of INTERDependence
“We, the People and Peoples of this one exquisite, and exquisitely fragile, planet hold these truths to be self-evident:
That all persons - children, women and men - of every race, calling, creed, colour, condition and age are created equal. There are no exceptions.
That they, collectively and individually, are endowed with certain inalienable rights. Among these are Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.
That the fundamental sources and resources to achieve these rights: Peace without threat, fear, force or weapons, pure air, fresh water, an uncontaminated earth, nourishing food, good health, creative education, a secure home, race/gender balance, equitable justice, local and global responsibility, authentic, proportionate, participative representation and worthwhile work - also belong inalienably to them all, for ever.
That this inheritance - these resources truly without price - can never be taken over or away by individuals, classes, corporations and/or states for their own exclusive or majority use, exploitation, profit or control.
Rather, that it is the marvellous gift and responsibility of every human generation to enjoy and utilize these resources with respect and delight, in interdependence with all peoples and with the whole multitude of species, both animal and plant, with which we co-inhabit this tiny, fragile, planet.
And, within that gift, to hand them on, enhanced, to the children
of our children's children.”
Such a Declaration is worthy enough, but without specific demands
for action, it remains toothless. Therefore:-

To make this Declaration reality we require all our employees - the governments of the world - to re-allocate at least 3% of all budgets currently devoted to the military, war, and the arms trade to bring fresh water to every single person on Earth

Vitally, 3% not merely of money and materials but, and especially, 3% of the creative lives and expertise of their members (e.g. two weeks laying water pipes in an impoverished community every 5 years)

We further require that all nations and individuals that have become unsustainably wealthy through historical/ongoing exploitation of whole countries and common planetary resources, pay appropriate reparations to all affected peoples, provide the technical, financial and other resources necessary to assist them to adapt to the climate change caused, primarily, by that abuse.

And that these same nations and individuals immediately commit to living within the resources of their own territory and of the Earth herself”
With complete global disarmament the ultimate goal, such action will meantime:

Avert otherwise inevitable wars over water -- infinitely more precious than oil.

Re-green the Earth - so ameliorating climate change and the worst effects of global warming

Begin the deliberate building-down of weapons - and the recognition of the essential equality and value of all human beings, especially women, indigenous peoples and all other so-called 'minorities’. This alone will represent a vast psychological breakthrough for humanity.

Improve the overall well-being of Mother Earth and all her people - by liberating unimaginably vast quantities of resources and huge numbers of highly-skilled personnel for urgent medical, ecological, social, community-building economics and other tasks.

And, finally, the wonder of a healed, balanced, cooperative planet will at last provide a truly fitting memorial to all those who sacrificed - and who go on sacrificing - their lives in all the endless wars to ‘end all war’.

Each nation’s particular flag is combined with a base image of Mother Earth to salute on solemn occasions. Honor INdependence within INTERdependence so accepting each nation’s own responsibility for Earth, for one another, and for the shared planet on which every nation ultimately depends.
